My dad was the one who originally introduced me to baseball. One of my earliest memories is of playing catch with him. The first sporting event I ever attended was a Major League Baseball game with my dad. I played Little League baseball and my dad was the coach of the team; it taught me discipline and I played baseball all the way up to college.
My dad passed away a few years ago but I still associate baseball heavily with his memory because we had so many good times together related to that sport. I think that’s probably why I have so much baseball memorabilia from signed baseballs to an MLB spare tire cover for my car. I love baseball and I can thank my dad for that.
There have been many notable alumni that have graduated from Florida State University. The school has generated two NASA astronauts, one of whom is currently a tenured Professor at the school, as well as three governors, and two Heisman Trophy winners. Whether it’s academia, politics, or the media, there have been many notable people who have graduated from the university.
Perhaps most importantly, however, alongside other actors and media personalities such as Faye Dunaway, Cheryl Hines, and Richard Simmons, the greatest person to ever graduate from Florida State was actor Burt Reynolds. Reynolds should be best known for his role as Gator McKlusky in the films White Lighting and its sequel Gator.
As they often are, Alabama Crimson Tide fans are very excited for the upcoming college football season. The Alabama Crimson Tide have long been renowned for their football team and for the 2013 season, they have brought on some of the top recruits in the country. They stand to do very well in the upcoming season as they did in 2012, as the consensus national champions.
The team’s coach, Nick Saban, is now the only coach in the history of college football that has ever won four BCS Championships. It would be no surprise for rabid fans of the Crimson Tide to want to get a jersey or an Alabama Crimson Tide tire cover signed by Saban, considering he’s already going down in college football history as one of the greatest coaches of all time.
I’m a very happy, bubbly person and I’m often told that I’m the most optimistic out of all of my friends! I’m rarely without a smile on my face and I like to exude confidence and happiness in everything I do because, in my opinion, life is too short to do anything other than that. Positivity is something that is part of the overall essence of my being.
I think that it’s unsurprising that I often find ways to show my optimism in external ways. Obviously, there’s always a smile on my face, but there’s even a smile on my tire covers! What I mean is that I have smiley face tire covers, but this is just one of a thousand million ways that you can try to put smiles on other people’s faces.
My wife and I both decided to get new cars this past week and so we’ve been going through the motions with everything that’s required of people when they get new cars. We’ve had to get various accessories and make sure that we’ve got everything ready for when the cars will eventually need maintenance, as well as getting insurance and everything else in order.
I got all of the oil that we would need for quite a while, as well as some basic things that we could use to clean our cars manually. I also got some solid spare tire covers for our spare tires. They’re different colors so that we know whose is whose, since our cars are completely different and require different things entirely.
Football and basketball have always been my favorite sports and I constantly find myself going to local games with my friends, whether they’re professional or amateur leagues. I’m the kind of guy who always has a TV with SportsCenter on in his house, even if it’s just muted in the background; I really like to be in the know when it comes to my favorite teams.
I also think that I am quite loyal when it comes to my favorite teams and I’m always trying to show my support for them, no matter if they win or lose. I’ve got plenty of merchandise for the teams, from jerseys to a sports team spare tire cover or two. Even the wallpaper in my game room is decked out with tributes to my favorite teams.
Buying a car on a budget can be difficult if you don’t plan out additional expenses ahead of time. It’s easier to just square away the money for the car itself, but this doesn’t account for the additional expenses such as maintenance materials and the other addendums that often must come alongside the purchase of a car. Planning ahead is your best bet.
When I was purchasing my car, I made sure to find little ways to cut costs overall so that the budget wouldn’t be a problem. For instance, I would pick up a quality discount spare tire cover if I saw one, just to save a little bit of money, and I’d buy motor oil in bulk in order to make sure that I was ultimately getting a little bit more bang for my buck.
Recently, I was driving down my street when I hit a nail in the road and it immediately popped my tire. I was lucky that something like that didn’t happen on the freeway or somewhere further away from home, but it was still a whole ordeal that I then had to deal with. As soon as I was able to, I went in to a tire place in order to get things situated.
When one of your tires gets ruined, it’s often in your best interest to replace all of them so that they’re all evenly matched. This isn’t always necessary, but I decided it was worth it since I had had my tires for a long while and their integrity might not be as great as they once were. I also decided that I would pick up some spare tire covers in order to protect any spare tires I’d also be picking up.
Something I’ve always enjoyed about the layout of most Jeeps is that they feature the spare tire right there on the back of the vehicle. I’ve always thought that was interesting and it made them stand out against many other cars, which sometimes have the rear-mounted tire carrier but not to the same frequency. It’s part of the reason I decided to buy my Jeep.
However, when you’ve got to deal with snow as well, one spare tire isn’t enough. I keep my basic spare tire on the back of my Jeep, but I also keep four snow tires in my garage during the summer seasons. Obviously, I have a Jeep spare tire cover on each of them in order to protect my snow tires from the elements while they’re sitting in my garage.
