So we won’t be seeing the Pittsburgh Steelers competing in the Super Bowl this year. This isn’t much of a surprise because they didn’t even make it into the play offs. The entire season they won just as many games as they lost. That doesn’t make for much excitement for the next year. The good news I suppose is that it would be hard to get much worse.
In the past the Steelers have gone to the Super Bowl many times. In the future, they’ll surely go again. They beat the Seahawks in 2006. The team is good. They just need to pick themselves up, get a few extra good players, and charge into next season full force. Fans should support their team buy getting a Pittsburgh Steelers NFL spare tire cover or some other Steelers gear.
My grandpa is a no nonsense type of guy. He is very serious and straightforward about just about everything that he does. That is why it is so funny that he drives one of those old Volkswagen vans. We like to tease him about his hippy van. He doesn’t care, because he just doesn’t see the humor in it. It is just a car that he managed to restore and can drive.
When it was time to replace the spare tire cover that he had on it, he set out to find the best solid black spare tire cover. He wouldn’t have one that had any kind of a design on it. He was very serious about the quality. He wouldn’t just buy any old black tire cover and call it good. Eventually, he managed to find a new one. It looks no different from the old one.
There are some days where I get on the freeway and wonder what would happen if I just kept driving. I could drive all the way across the country if I wanted to. No one would be able to stop me. I suppose that this is what some people do. They cross the country and start life on the other side of the United States. It’s very pioneer like to me.
I love it when I see a Massachusetts license plate or a Georgia Bulldogs black tire cover over here in Washington. It reminds me that we are all part of the same country. Despite the teams that we root for or the places that we come from, we can pass between states and live life in a different one than the one that we started out in. There’s something very cool about that.
The internet has made it significantly easier to get gifts for other people. I am always surprised that malls still get crowded at Christmas time. It is far easier to avoid the crowds and the crazy parking lots by staying home. You can get all the things you need online. Usually, the price is even a lot better than it would be in stores.
The internet also makes it easier to get sports gear from out of state. I can walk into any store in Washington and find Cougar, Husky, and Seahawk gear, but I cannot find Chicago Bears stuff for my friend from out of state. When I shop online, it is much easier. I can buy any type of gear from t-shirts to a Chicago Bears black tire cover.
Anyone who knows baseball realizes that the New York Yankees are one of the best teams in the league. Unless you’re actually from New York, you can’t understand the real importance of the team. You can’t understand the excitement at the beginning of spring training every year and the build up to the first game of the year at Yankee stadium.
I can’t either, since I am not from New York originally. One of my friends is though. Every year, even though he is all the way across the United States, he participates in the preseason excitement. This year he has already purchased a New York Yankees tire cover and a new baseball hat. He’s thinking of flying out for the first game.
Last week, in a playoff game against the Colts, it looked like everything was perfect for the Chiefs. By the second half of the game, it didn’t seem like they could loose. They were up by 28 points and looking pretty unstoppable. Unfortunately, this didn’t last. The Colts made one of the biggest comebacks in playoff history and won the game by a single point.
It was an incredible game for Colts fans, but if you’re a Chiefs fan you might be reconsidering team loyalties. You might not be feeling too proud of your Kansas City Chiefs just now. The truth is that they played well. There is no reason to put off buying a Kansas City Chiefs tire cover or jersey. They’ll be back next year for another chance at the playoffs.
One of my friends has always wanted a Jeep. He has been saving up his money for one for just about as long as I can remember. Already, he has a whole bunch of Jeep gear. He has Jeep clothing and even a bumper sticker that he plans to put on the car once he buys it. He says that by this summer he will finally be able to buy the car that he has wanted.
When he gets his Jeep, he wants me to help him choose some cool spare tire covers for him to put on the back of it. He has already shown me several of them. I have to keep reminding him that he doesn’t have the car yet. I can tell that he is really excited to finally get the car of his dreams. He just has to wait a little bit longer.
One of my friends is from Chicago. She was born there and still feels a strong connection to the place, even though she has not lived there for quite a while. One way that her Illinois heritage shows is through her obsession with the Chicago Bears. She roots for them whenever they are playing a game and has a lot of Bear’s gear.
Recently, she purchased one of those cars that have a spare tire on the back. It was to replace her old car after it was totaled. She bought a blue car to try at expressing her team colors. To help her do that, I plan to buy her a Chicago Bears tire cover for her birthday. I just hope that she doesn’t get the same idea and buy one before I get a chance to give it to her.
Football is full of traditions. Putting out a certain type of chip during the Super Bowl or having a special meal on game day may be family traditions. Some sports fans go a step beyond this. Some have superstitions that they follow to help their teams win the game. For some, wearing the same team outfit on game day is absolutely necessary.
Others can’t go anywhere without their NFL spare tire cover or special football purchased at the stadium. They think that if they don’t follow the superstitions a loss by their team will be their own fault. While it may seem absurd to some, game day superstitions are part of the tradition. There is no reason for people to abandon them.
